Boards & Commissions

The City has a number of boards and committees comprised of volunteers from our community and staff liaisons. Here are the current openings, or opening that will be coming due to expiring terms:

All members of all city boards must be a resident of the city, own property in the city, or own or operate a business in the city limits with a valid business license.  

All applicants will interview with the staff liaison of your selected board, as well as interviewing with City Council during a Worksession. 

Historic District Review Board (HDRB)

The city is seeking to fill two upcoming available seats on the Historic District Review Board.  One at-large seat, and one Design Professional seat.  The board is looking for those with an interest, competence, or knowledge of historic preservation.  For more information please visit the Historic District Review Board page. Parks and Tree Advisory Commission (PTAC)

The city is seeking to fill three upcoming available seats on the Parks and Tree Advisory Commission.  This board is looking for Master Gardeners, Landscapers, Landscape Architects, and members at-large.  For more information please visit the Parks and Tree Advisory Commission page. 

Tourism Development Advisory Committee (TDAC)

The city is seeking to fill a vacancy, and three upcoming available seats that are specific to the Hospitality Industry.  These citizens would be in the Restaurant, Lodging, Attractions or Recreational Industry. Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBOA)

The city is seeking to fill an upcoming available seat on the Zoning Board of Appeals. This seat will be for an at-large member.  This board shall hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in an order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an Administrative Official in the enforcement of the Code.  For more information please visit the Zoning Board of Appeals page.
