City of Beaufort appoints communications/marketing manager

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen Williams to the position of Communications/Marketing Manager for the City of Beaufort, effective December 2, 2019.

Kathleen brings to the city a wealth of experience in governmental communications and public relations. She joins us from Clermont County, Ohio, where she was the Communications Coordinator. She had full responsibility for external communications, including social media, media relations, press releases, the annual report, etc., for the Board of County Commissioners.

Kathleen has experience in emergency communications and is certified in various courses in the Incident Command System, Social Media in Emergency Management, and as a Public Information Officer. She also has an Accreditation in Public Relations.

She will report to the City Manager and will be taking over communications responsibility for overall City activities, working closely with all the department heads.

Kathleen and her husband moved to Bluffton earlier this year and we are all very excited to have her join our team. I know you will all join me in welcoming her to the City of Beaufort.
