Professional Experience
Judge Ralph Tupper has served as a part-time judge since 1987. He
is also a partner with the Beaufort firm, Tupper, Grimsley and Dean,
P.A., and is a much sought after mediator and arbitrator. Super Lawyers listed Judge Tupper as as one of the top attorneys in South Carolina in 2011.
He has served as Dean of Admissions at the University of South Carolina School of Law and as a clerk for the United States Tax Court. He is President-Elect of the Charleston Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates for 2011 to 2012.
Education
A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Judge Tupper received his
undergraduate degree from Newberry College in 1970 and his law degree
from the University of South Carolina in 1974.
