Beaufort, SC — The University of South Carolina Beaufort Center for the Arts, in partnership with the City of Beaufort Cultural District, is pleased to announce a call for entries for Taste of the Arts, a juried exhibition celebrating the vibrant creativity and cultural richness of the Lowcountry. The exhibition will be on view May 1 through June 15, 2026, at the USCB Center for the Arts in downtown Beaufort.
This annual exhibition invites artists from South Carolina and Georgia to submit original works showcasing both artistic excellence and creative vision. Accepted media include mixed media, printmaking, oils, pastels, watercolor, acrylics, photography, and sculpture.
More than $2,500 in cash awards will be presented to outstanding artists selected by the jury.
An opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the USCB Center for the Arts. The reception coincides with the start of the Taste of Beaufort Festival, a beloved community celebration highlighting fine art, local cuisine, and the creative spirit of the Lowcountry.
Entries will be accepted through CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org) with a $20 entry fee. Artists may submit up to three images for consideration. Full submission guidelines, eligibility requirements, and deadlines are available on CallForEntry.org.
Taste of the Arts provides artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work in one of Beaufort’s most anticipated cultural events while connecting with fellow artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts in a picturesque coastal setting.
