Beaufort, South Carolina (February 27, 2026)– The City of Beaufort is now accepting applications for several upcoming vacancies on City boards and commissions. Residents who are passionate about civic engagement and wish to serve their community are encouraged to apply.
These volunteer boards and commissions play an important role in advising City Council and staff on a variety of topics that shape policy, community planning, operations, and quality of life for residents.
Open positions include seats for boards with terms that are about to expire or currently vacant. Interested citizens are encouraged to review the list of opportunities and submit their applications.

Applicants must complete and submit a Boards & Commissions application by the published deadline. Each application will be reviewed, and appointments are made by City Council or the respective appointing authority as outlined in board bylaws.
