Ladies and Gentlemen:
In anticipation of an active hurricane season, the Mossy Oaks Project, in coordination with BJWSA and Dominion Energy, is taking expedited steps to relocate both gas and water lines to accommodate improved drainage lines.
On Thursday, Aug. 20 (tomorrow), residents in the West Royal Oaks Neighborhood may expect some interruptions to gas service between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. while Dominion Energy relocates the natural gas line that is in conflict with the newly placed stormwater pipes. This gas interruption should only affect those residents on West Royal Oaks.
On Friday, Aug. 21, residents in the West Royal Oaks Neighborhood may expect some interruptions to water service between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m while BJWSA relocates the water service lines on both West Royal Oaks and Coates Lane that are in conflict with the stormwater system. This water service interruption should only affect those residents on West Royal Oaks and Coates Lane.
Again, we are taking these expedited steps in anticipation of an elevated hurricane season and to lessen the impact associated with these types of storms.
Thank you very much for your continued support and patience as we improve the quality of life for all residents in the Mossy Oaks neighborhood.
Cheers,
Neal Pugliese, Col USMC (Ret)
