[ARCHIVED] Major pruning in City is completed

Tree pruning utilityMarch 19, 2021

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Dominion Energy has completed all major pruning work and is now completely focused on punch-list items and the removal of selected Palmetto Trees.  All work in The Point will be completed by today, with the exception of one location that will be addressed next week at the homeowner’s request.

While all major pruning throughout the City has been completed, Dominion will be removing selected palmetto trees if those trees interfere with the reliability of energy service or pose a threat to life or property. Dominion will not complete punch-list items or remove palmetto trees on the weekend.

Dominion will have two palmetto tree removal crews working their way through the City for the remainder of the project. The company is committed to contacting every residence where the removal of a palmetto is necessary. If residents have a question about the status of the palmetto trees in the vicinity of their homes, they are strongly encouraged to contact Dominion Energy or the City at the numbers or emails listed below. All calls and emails will be answered and all issues will be addressed.

It is critical to remember that Dominion Energy will only be removing those palmettos that threaten energy delivery or pose a potential threat to life and property.
