The City of Beaufort Municipal Court is responsible for addressing all misdemeanor offenses and violations of City and state laws. This includes offenses occurring inside the Beaufort city limits with penalties of a fine not more than $500 or not more than 30 days in jail, or both.
The Judges and our staff will work to ensure everyone receives professional, efficient and impartial justice.
Court sessions are held every Monday and Thursday beginning promptly at 3 p.m. in the Beaufort Municipal Court Center Complex located at 1901 Boundary Street.
These trials are commonly referred to as Bench Trials and are heard before the judge alone.
Trials by jury are normally scheduled on a quarterly basis. All court sessions are open to the public.
