[ARCHIVED] Threat of rain Friday prompts cancellation of downtown movie night

BEAUFORT, S.C. -- The Outdoor Family Movie Night Event, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, has been canceled due to a forecast of rain throughout the day and evening. The movie “Elf,” hosted by the Beaufort’s Police Department Movie Club and sponsor Howard Family Dental, was scheduled to be shown at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.

Organizers hope to host an outdoor movie event in early spring of 2020.
