[ARCHIVED] What’s on tap for Veterans Day

Marines in Veterans Day parade

BEAUFORT, S.C. (Nov. 3, 2021) –  The City of Beaufort’s offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day.

Veterans Day celebrations include:

Sunday, Nov. 7

  • Lowcountry Wind Symphony: Concert featuring patriotic music at 4 p.m., Sea Island Presbyterian Church, 81 Lady’s Island Drive. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 11

  • Veterans Day Parade: Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery on Boundary Street. Parade will proceed down Boundary to Carteret and then up Bay Street.
  • Salute to Service: Military appreciation event from 1-4 p.m. at Naval Heritage Park, Port Royal. Will include Parris Island band, food trucks, activities for kids.

We thank our veterans for their service and wish them and their families a very happy Veterans Day.
