BEAUFORT, S.C. (Aug. 7, 2024) – The City of Beaufort will open for normal business operations at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, following two days of closure during Tropical Storm Debby.
The Public Works Department continues to work throughout the City, cutting up and removing downed trees and pumping out flooded areas on some City streets.
Capital Waste Services hopes to resume trash pickup services on Thursday. Information on that will be posted later today on the City’s social media accounts, Facebook, Instagram and NextDoor.
