[ARCHIVED] Public Works to collect storm debris Aug. 13-16

Graphic, debris schedule

BEAUFORT, S.C. (Aug. 9, 2024) – The City of Beaufort’s Public Works Department will perform a one-time sweep of City neighborhoods and streets to pick up storm debris beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 13, and ending on Friday, Aug. 16. All debris must be put out to the curb by Monday night, Aug. 12.

If residents can bag and bundle debris, that would be appreciated. Bagged and bundled debris may be picked up by either Public Works or Capital Waste Services. Large branches and other large debris can be left unbundled at the curb.

Debris should not be left next to any utilities such as fire hydrants, water meters, electric/cable boxes, and telephone poles. Debris should also not be placed under low branches as the knuckle boom truck may not be able to reach under them. In other words, debris must be accessible to be picked up.

Thank you for your cooperation.
