BEAUFORT, S.C. (Feb. 20, 2020) -- A workshop sponsored by the City of Beaufort and the Historic Beaufort Foundation will focus on state and federal tax incentives available to assist with the costs of preserving historic buildings. Both owner-occupied historic homes and buildings used to produce income, such as stores, offices and apartment buildings, may be eligible for tax incentives.

This workshop, presented by the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, is open to the public and will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at Beaufort City Hall, 1911 Boundary Street, 2nd Floor, Council Chambers.

Architects, real estate professionals, interior designers, contractors, developers, accountants, planners, owners of qualified historic properties, and those interested in the economic benefits of historic preservation are encouraged to attend.
