[ARCHIVED] City offers concierge service to help retailers

BEAUFORT, S.C. (April 29, 2020) – The City of Beaufort, in conjunction with the Beaufort County Economic Development Corporation, has published a Covid-19 handbook with a list of local, regional and federal resources for businesses. One of those resources is a concierge service that Beaufort will offer its retailers.

Retailers can contact Downtown Operations Manager Linda Roper for help in navigating the various programs offered by the federal government. Roper can be emailed at lroper@cityofbeaufort.org or phoned at 843-525-7084.

Other businesses located in the City of Beaufort that need assistance navigating the federal aid programs can contact Charlie Stone, project manager at the Economic Development Corporation. He can be reached at  cstone@beaufortscedc.org or  843-226-3462 ext. 2.

“As businesses in the City of Beaufort begin to emerge from quarantine conditions, we want to offer a hand to any that might need some help with what can be a complicated process in accessing federal relief,” said City Manager Bill Prokop. “We appreciate the help that has been offered by the Beaufort County Economic Development Corporation to local businesses, and our Downtown Operations director, Linda Roper, can be an asset to our local retailers.”
