Ladies and Gentlemen:
Please see the two attachments that detail work in the next week in Basin 1 (vicinity of the Duck Pond) and Basin 2 (vicinity of Southside Park).
Basin 1
We’re very happy to report that the drainage system is working precisely as planned, despite rather rainy conditions. This week, minor sewage and drainage work was completed on Battery Creek Road and the ditch between Coates Lane and West Royal Oaks was regraded. Next week, there will be minor supporting work done in the vicinity of the Duck Pond and minor piping will be completed between North Royal Oaks and Battery Creek Road. Weather permitting, paving, in selected areas, will occur sometime during the last two weeks in March.

Basin 2
This week, improvements were made to the drainage system running under the Spanish Moss Trail. Next week, selected parts of the Spanish Moss Trail will be prepared for the installation of new concrete. Further, the concrete pile caps will be installed on the remainder of the sheet pile wall, and the tidal flap gates will be calibrated. Weather permitting, this portion of the Spanish Moss Trail will be reopened and available to all to enjoy without interruption.

Safety!
To date, we are pleased to report a perfect safety record. Thanks to all who continue to contribute to a safe environment for workers, motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists. Dominion Energy will have one or two vehicles in the Mossy Oaks area to complete their project’s punch list items.
