CPR Training

The  Fire Department offers training in these areas: 

• Automated external defibrillator 
• Blood-borne pathogen course (per request)
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• First aid

CPR

This is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first-aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive.

CPR students will receive an Ambu personal protective face mask and a 2-year certification upon course completion.

First aid

This course teaches skills that include treating:

• Bleeding
• Broken bones
• Other first-aid emergencies
• Shock
• Sprains

Students will receive a 2-year certification upon course completion.
