City-Sponsored Events

The City of Beaufort sponsors four major events a year:

Taste of Beaufort: Family fun for everyone as local restaurants come to Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park the first weekend in May to prepare their best dishes! 

Shrimp Festival: Held the first full weekend in October, the Shrimp Festival features everything from shrimp races to a 5K to the best shrimp in the region!

Halloween: Halloween is an annual event held in late October which offers family fun and ends with a trick-or-treating in Waterfront Park.

Holiday Weekend & Night on the Town: Holiday-themed event the first weekend in December. Features great shopping, a visit from Santa, Christmas tree lighting, a boat parade, and a Christmas parade.

Downtown Operations also works closely with other organizations to help make their festivals a success, such as the Water Festival, held in July of every year, to the Gullah Festival, held over Memorial Day weekend.
