The City of Beaufort sponsors four major events a year:
Taste of Beaufort: Family fun for everyone as local restaurants come to Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park the first weekend in May to prepare their best dishes! Taste of Beaufort takes place the first weekend of May every year.
Shrimp Festival: Held the first full weekend in October, the Shrimp Festival features everything from shrimp races to a 5K to the best shrimp in the region! Shrimp Festival takes place the first weekend of October every year.
Halloween: Halloween is an annual event held in late October which offers family fun and ends with a trick-or-treating in Waterfront Park.

Holiday Weekend & Night on the Town: Holiday-themed event the first weekend in December. Features great shopping, a visit from Santa, Christmas tree lighting, a boat parade, and a Christmas parade. Night on the Town takes place the first weekend of December every year.

Downtown Operations also works closely with other organizations to help make their festivals a success, such as the Water Festival, held in July of every year, to the Gullah Festival, held over Memorial Day weekend.
